Guadalajara

Sleep

Whenever we head to Guadalajara, we always have the best time! This vibrant city is packed with things to explore, keeping the kids entertained while we indulge in delicious food and shopping. While we usually stay in Airbnbs, there are some great hotel options too, like Hyatt or Fiesta Americana.

Eat

Now, let’s talk food! Guadalajara is a culinary delight with something for everyone. Start your day with breakfast at Chai for a delicious twist on traditional dishes. For lunch, hit up El Sacromonte for some amazing tortas ahogadas or La Chata for authentic Mexican fare. Dinner calls for Hueso, a unique spot with a stunning design and delectable menu. And for a sweet treat, don’t miss La Moreliana for mouthwatering paletas!

Play

One of our kids' favorite activities is visiting the trampoline parks—they're an absolute blast and a great way to burn off some energy (usually located in a nice mall)! For a change of pace, we love spending a couple of hours at Acuario Michin, a fun little aquarium that's perfect for family exploration. And the Guadalajara Zoo is a must-visit! We enjoyed the sky zoo, where you can take a gondola ride and see everything from above, and the safari experience was a thrilling adventure!

For outdoor fun, Bosque Los Colomos is our go-to spot. This expansive park features playgrounds, endless trails, a cute little café, and even painting classes to keep everyone entertained for hours!

Don't miss a day trip to Tlaquepaque, a colorful town filled with charming shops and delicious restaurants. If you're in town on a Thursday, make sure to check out Tonalá, where a HUGE market comes alive with blocks of vendors and artists showcasing their incredible work.
